Continuing Infamous
[22:30]-05.04.12-/
When you first start Infamous 2, the game will detect your game save files from the original Infamous game. You can choose to continue the story as Hero or Infamous, depending on if and how you completed the story of the first game. If you finished it both ways, you can continue the story either way. Or you can start a new game.
Last shard
[21:50]-03.31.12-/
After a long break away from Infamous, it was time to return to Empire City and get my platinum. About a year ago, I had spent a while, after the story had ended, strategically running around the city clicking L3 in search for my last two shards to get the last Bronze trophy and the game's Platinum. A couple sweeps of the city didn't reveal the locations of the shards, so I put the game away.... until today.
Using a printed map of the shards' locations and a shard-by-shard guide of their hiding spots, I set out to check every shard location until I found the remaining two. About a dozen shards in, I found the first culprit. Within the first 75 shards on the guide, I found the second and final shard! Both were located in the Neon district. Success and platinum!

Bridge shard confirmd
[16:15]-03.31.12-/
If you are looking for your last shards and you think you missed a shard on the bridge that leads off of the map, rest assured: you can't miss that first shard.
I began a new story to see if I had missed it because I couldn't fly, glide, jump, or climb my way around to check in my current game. During the new game session, I discovered that there is no way to miss this shard; it is the first shard in the game and there is no way to progress without running into it. It's how the game explains the shard concept to you. Whew. Now where is that last shard that I'm missing?!

Final Thoughts
[20:28]-03.26.12-/
As much of a PlayStation fanboy as I am, I'll admit, I'd never played Sly Cooper until last week. With no previous information about the game other than the images on the front of The Sly Collection, I was immediately pleasantly surprised by the intriguing cell-shaded graphics, likeable characters, and fun game mechanics. Other than a few annoying bosses, a couple of weird camera issues, and some cheap deaths, I enjoyed the gameplay, premise, story, and collectibles right 'til the end, finished off with a platinum!
Double credit
[20:05]-03.26.12-/
Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus shows the credits twice: once when you defeat the final boss and once after you unlock all of the combination safes! The credits are the same each time and I couldn't find a way to skip out of either. Luckily they are short credits as games these days go.
Rampage Accomplished
[15:11]-03.24.12-/
I made it through five rounds of each of the ten cities. I lost the remainder of my three of lives during the six or seventh city, but somehow I was able to trade my score in for another 3-life continue. I don't know if this is a feature or a glitch. I needed to do this one more time to make it to the end of the game. After to finish New York, the final city, the three main monster characters hit a picture of a city causing the buildings to fall. "End" displays and you are taken back to the main screen.

Awkward
[21:00]-03.20.12-/
The controls in this game are awkward to say the least. Having to hold L2 for "precision" aiming is particularly annoying. The only saving grace is the ability to pick up items to bash zombies with. Then it feels almost like classic Yakuza combat.

Just might be worth coming back to
[19:02]-03.20.12-/
There are some interesting twists at the end of the game. I finished in a little under 10 hours, and I'm tempted to play it again choosing different squad members and giving different responses, just to see what happens. If I do, it'll be on the hardest difficulty setting, as I rarely felt like I needed to use cover on normal.

Dan and Faye

The relationship between Dan and Faye isn't very well done, but at least it is there.
